Ep.351 Beyond the Veil
Published: 14 September 2025
Tonight’s guest comes to us from New York State, Shiloh, sharing experiences that blur the line between the paranormal and the occult. In the woods, she once saw a man in flannel step behind a tree far too narrow to hide him and vanish. Later, she lay frozen beneath a shifting black mass that hovered over her bed for hours. Growing up within Pagan and Wiccan traditions, she also recalls rituals where “something” seemed to answer back, leaving her with questions about what had truly been summoned. This is a journey into fear, faith, and the unknown.

There’s a yellow highlight that shows the tree line & the pin in the middle of the woods is the clearing.
1. Paranormal Presence in the Woods
As a child, Shiloh went into the deep woods behind her family’s farm where she wasn’t supposed to be due to hunters. While sitting and having lunch, she suddenly heard a male voice behind her say, “What’re you doing?” Turning around, she saw a man about six feet away. He was oddly dressed for the hot weather, wearing a flannel and pants better suited for fall or winter. When she stood and asked who he was, he stepped behind a very thin tree, no wider than 8–10 inches, and vanished completely. There was no physical way he could have hidden behind it.
2. The Black Mass Encounter
Another night, she witnessed a floating black, silk-like mass emerge from her closet and hover above her bed. The surface moved like water but looked like wet black fabric with a faint face visible. She was unable to move during this experience, feeling paralyzed as the entity lingered above her for what felt like hours. The next morning, her parents announced their divorce. She recalls a heavy sense of demonic presence during this period.
3. Ritual Experiences
Growing up as a practicing Pagan/Wiccan, Shiloh describes her ceremonies as unusual, with several occasions where she and others successfully summoned “things.” Pagan rituals, while powerful, carried more negative weight for her compared to her Wiccan practices, which were already intense and unusual.
