Key Experiences Timeline

Early Childhood

• Age 4 – Bible school (location unspecified)
  A man told her that if she was ever afraid, she could call on Jesus. Later, she tested this during a frightening moment, and it worked, becoming her personal paradigm of faith.

Age 8–9

• Age 8 – Grandmother’s death (location not specified)
  Her grandmother passed away and was buried on her birthday.

• Age 9 – Nighttime visitation (home, location unspecified)
  Woke up at night to see beings in her room. They were translucent, made of light particles, with large dark hollow eyes. She believed they were communicating about her. One tucked her in and kissed her goodnight. She thought it might have been her grandmother.
  When she told her mother, she was told her grandmother had been into the occult (Ouija board, tarot, crystal ball). Her mother was supportive and said they had heard her calling out that night.

• Age 9 – Ouija board experience (with grandmother’s board)
  Began using the Ouija board, received real-seeming answers and spelled words she didn’t know. Felt it was a genuine communication with a spirit realm.

College Years

• College – Paranormal tension with atheist boyfriend (location unspecified)
  Relationship stressed by differing beliefs. He denied paranormal reality, she prayed for clarity.

• College (early 20s) – UFO sighting at 2 a.m. (walking home from art studio)
  Both she and her boyfriend saw a small football-shaped light in the sky. It seemed aware of being observed, flipped, and disappeared. Both felt it knew they had seen it.

  Found a Ouija board leaning outside a friend’s door. Used it during the party, but it didn’t work. When they tried to return it, the Ouija board vanished inexplicably from the hallway.

  Strange events: microwave turning on, lights flickering, voices mimicking them. Others preferred to ignore these experiences.

Graduate School (Age ~24)

• Graduate School – Witch Coven (location not specified)
  Professor leading a coven invited her to join, saying she had the gift of discerning spirits. Meetings resembled Bible study but with esoteric texts. Paranormal activity increased, and others blamed her.

• Graduate School – Whitley Strieber “Communion” revelation (bookstore/grocery)
  Saw Strieber’s book Communion in a store and recognized the being on the cover as identical to what she had seen at age 9. This gave her vocabulary for “the grays”.

Adult Life

• New York City (mid-20s onward, lived there 35 years, 14 moves)
  At least 5 apartments were haunted. In each, she would experience paranormal disturbances until calling on Jesus, which stopped them.

• Baptism (date not specified)
  After baptism, she reported that spirits could no longer physically touch her, though she could still sense presences.

2019

• 2019 – Haunted apartment (location unspecified)
  Heard noises linked to people who no longer lived there, possibly deceased. Saw a “Nordic White” being that tried but failed to touch her, reinforcing her belief that baptism created a protective boundary.

Paranormal Hauntings in NYC

• Hell’s Kitchen, New York City – Shared apartment with two friends
  Intense arguments among residents, unexplained phenomena: sounds of invisible dogs, apparitions of an older woman, angry man, and young man. Later discovered the apartment was listed in the book Haunted New York and also described on a blog.
