Ep.283 Shadow Man / The Lift Home

Published: May 26, 2024

We’re going to start off tonight with Nat from Lancashire in the UK, and she will be sharing her account of waking-up in the middle of the night to the sounds of her daughter having a nightmare, and then witnessing a Shadow man standing over her distressed daughter. Then remaining in the UK for our next guest, Jo in Portsmouth, shares an encounter from the mid-1980s, of being offered a lift by two total strangers, only she wasn’t a stranger to them. Then Jo’s experience of a vision that was exactly like a colour photo being put in front of her face for five minutes straight, which led to the unravelling of a family secret, and meeting her real family after 55 years.

The Lift Home: Jo’s Images

Right Images: This is the pub Jo walked back from and the road.
Then the place the Mini stopped at, the only slope down via a grassy verge.

Right Images: Photos of spooky house in Bedhampton Havant. Outside front, and one of the lounge where (earring) incident happened
Two photos Jo found that she had taken the day after her nan had appeared at the end of her bed in Jo’s bedroom, where the swirls and static arm and hand vision happened. Both taken within seconds of each other, as she thought she had seen something move.

Right Images: Some photo screenshots from the video taken by Jo, the day she met her new Nan, and she showed her the video of her father. (The man in the vision photo static thing)

You can clearly see him in his long coat and flat cap.

Some of my Jo’s Great-grandfathers items, publicity folder, photos and sheet music, and his lifetime award she saved.

His name was Ralph Silvester

The Genealogist from Havant museum, who helped Jo find her Dad’s family recently, put her story forward last year, as it’s so unusual and because of the people involved in the musical history, they want her to do an hour’s talk and presentation to an audience of local historians. The story of Jo finding her nan, who was Ralph Silvester’s eldest daughter, went out on Angel radio at the time (4 years ago) which is also based in Havant. They played all his old songs, Jo thought it may show how important it was for Ralph to appear to her.
